Why do people always need to complicate something that is so simple?

I really hate it when I tell people that I don't like cats and they proceed to tell me about how their cat is so awesome and just like a dog. No, it's not. I don't care if you cat lifts its leg when it pees, fetches, and barks, if it's a cat I don't like it.
