camaraderie

I saw a couple outside Starbucks today, yes I breastfeed and drink coffee - judge away. They were quietly drinking coffee and hanging out with their baby twins. I approached and saw an expression on their faces that I am sure has crossed mine more than once over the past two months. The oh crap I have to answer stupid questions face.

I asked how old they were and then told them that I have 2 1/2-month-old twins. Instantly their faces changed. They invited me to sit down, offered me a piece of pastry, it is nice to be bonded to complete strangers in this happy way. I am sure that I will enjoy it more in 2010 when I get to sleep again. I am going to make a Sleep in 2010 bumper sticker and send one to a fellow blogger Jamie who just had beautiful newborn twins this week.
