I had an OB appointment yesterday. I do not weigh 200lbs, yet, but I think I will be there by the next visit. This thought does not make me happy and neither do the stretch marks that I found on the underside of my belly.
My OB measured me from pubic bone to fundus and announced that I am now measuring at 40 weeks. Then she pointed out that I have 2 more months to go.
I was expecting my next appointment to be scheduled in 2 weeks, but she doesn't want to see me again until the end of May. I will have an ultrasound and OB appointment on the same day. After that I will start going into L&D twice a week to check position, placenta, fluid, and the babies' heart rates.
I am getting worried as the big day is approaching. Over a month ago we found out that there is lead paint in our windows. The only solution to remedy this problems is to have someone who is lead abatement certified come out and remove and replace all of our windows. As a result, every single baby thing that we have purchased, or been given, is in a pile in the basement. We cannot do anything like paint the nursery or set up the crib or get the closet set up.
Since my father owns the house that we live in and are planning to purchase, I approached him about this situation to discuss lowering the home price to allow us to refinance and do the work. His preference was to pay to repair the windows and keep the price the same. So we had a contractor come out over a month ago who gave us an estimate. My father wanted a second estimate, so we had someone come out right after Easter. This individual promised an estimate and almost 4 weeks later we have nothing. So, I called a third person, who came last Friday, and guess what? He hasn't sent an estimate. I am now ready to rip the windows out myself. I am also looking at sublets because I am so afraid that the babies will be born and we will have nowhere to put them.
