My husband and I didn't make it out this year for the annual Irish Festivities. Of course, what could be more Irish than being pregnant with twins less than a year after your wedding date.
I started off the day with a regular visit to the OB. Everything looks great. She checked to make sure that my cervix was still closed, which it is. It seems like a bad practice to try and see if you can get a finger in there.
Even weirder I have to take another syphilis test. I already had one in the first trimester. She said this is required by law. Hmmmm? I'd think that even a hardened prostitute would have slowed down by now. I imagine by the time you are this big your customers would be a pretty small niche market, but what do I know?
Baby B was not cooperative for the heartbeat check (s)he had to be chased down before giving it up. The nurse/assistant was a little impatient. I was cheering for the baby.
